Reconciliation Results

The execution history for a job that has at least one Reconciliation task will have an additional Report column. It has a link to a Reconciliation Report.

Report

While the execution history provides details for the job execution, the reconciliation report provides information about the data being reconciled in a reconciliation task steps.

Summary Report

The summary displays the reconciliation results at a high level. It shows if there are any discrepancies overall between the two data sets. This report is can be exported into Excel.

Click on the report link for a job run to view the Reconciliation Report Summary.

Summary Report

The Reconciliation Report Summary will display the following columns:

  • Process - the name of the Reconciliation task.
  • Step - the name of the Reconciliation step in a task.
  • Start Time - the execution start date and time.
  • End Time - the execution end date and time.
  • Src Rows - the number of records in the source dataset.
  • Dst Rows - the number of records in the destination dataset.
  • Rows Matched - the number of matched records in the two datasets.
  • Compare Errors - the number of the matched records where at least one of the dataset fields being compared is different to the corresponding field in the other dataset.
  • Src Orphan - the number of records in the source dataset that did not match a record in the destination dataset.
  • Dst Orphan - the number of records in the destination dataset that did not match a record in the source dataset.
  • Comp - the percentage of completeness.
Detailed Report

Data Governor V5.2 provides the ability to view reconciliation results side by side for easier comparison. The detailed report drills down on the results from the summary report. It shows the actual comparison figures. This report is can be exported into Excel.

Click on a task or step in the Summary report, then click on Open Report.

The filter option allows for narrowing down of the reconciliation results.

The available filter options are:

  • All Rows - default
  • All Errors - displays all types of errors
  • Compare Errors - displays compare errors only
  • Tolerance Errors - displays tolerance errors only
  • Orphans - displays orphan rows
Drill Down

You can use the drill down feature in Data Governor to expand an aggregated sum in the detailed report. Click on an underlined value to see the breakdown of that figure.

All errors between the source and target data sets are highlighted in red.
