Managing a Task

There are 2 sections in Data Governor in which a task can be managed. The first is to manage a task from within a job itself. Refer to Adding a Job for more information.

The second is to manage all tasks that are in a Data Governor project. Click the Tasks drop down menu, then select Tasks. Select a task from the global list of tasks. A sub menu will appear.

The options available are:

  • Edit Task
  • Delete Task
  • Clone Task
  • Close Menu

Managing a task

Edit Task

This option allows you to edit the selected task.

Select Edit Task from the sub menu. Follow the instructions for Editing a Task to continue.

Tip: Any changes made to the task here will apply to the task at a project level. This will affect the task everywhere it is being used within the project.

Delete Task

This option allows you to delete the selected task.

Select Delete Job from the sub menu. Follow the instructions for Deleting a Task to continue.

Clone Task

This option allows you to clone the selected task.

Select Clone Task from the sub menu. Follow the instructions for Cloning a Task to continue.

Close Menu

Select Close Menu to close the sub menu.
