Running Jobs

Jobs are the main component of Data Governor and they can be executed using various methods and strategies.

Using “Run Now” Executions

“Run Now” executions, as the name implies, allow users to run jobs whenever they want with the click of a button.

You can run a job at anytime by using the distinctive play button which appears in multiple areas of the application such as the project jobs page and the top right corner of the sequenced tasks page.

Clicking this button will show you the run now preparation form, which allows you to confirm if you want to be redirected to the real-time execution logs page.

Note that unlike scheduled jobs, running a job manually will not factor in if the job is running already and will run no matter what.

Using Schedules

Data Governor also includes an extensive scheduling tool which can be used to easily set a job for execution at a later date.
