Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting issues with Identity Server can be achieved by viewing the extensive logging available.

There are two types of logs available;

  • Application logging - This covers any issues with starting up the application, or problems that cause the application to crash. Examples of this include bad SQL connection strings entered during setup, missing features in IIS, etc. These generally only occur on initial installation of the application.
  • Identity logging - This covers issues such as particular users not being able to log in via Identity Server, events such as authentication success/failure and tokens generation will happen here.
